I came across this meaningful article through Facebook. This article talks about, how most of the people treat a self-employed or freelance photographers in the photography industry.

After I read the article, I felt most of us (photographers) has been through this situation.  And sometime we must educate our clients or friends, to let them understand the amount of effort we’ve put in to produce those pictures.

I’m very appreciate my clients that understand and appreciate my hard work.

朋友開飯店，你吃飯他收錢，大家覺得理所當然。
朋友開文具店，買文具他收錢，大家覺得理所當然。
朋友開服裝店，買衣服他收錢，大家覺得理所當然。
朋友做攝影，收錢，大家會覺得“這個朋友怎麼那麼吝嗇”

飯店打折，大家說：“這個朋友真好”
文具打折，大家說：“這個朋友真大方”
服裝打折，大家說：“這個是真夠朋友”
攝影打折，大家會覺得“這個朋友有點小氣”

飯店說： “以後來我這吃飯，全免費！”大家說：“不行！你是做生意 的”
文具說：“以後來我這買文具，隨便拿！”大家說：“不行！不 合情理的”
服裝說：“以後來我服裝店，全部任穿！”大家說：“不行！哪 好意思啊”
攝影師：“以後有什麼拍攝就找我幫手！”大家說：“好的，謝 謝啦！”

大家看到物質，看到飯菜，看到文具，看到服裝，認為這些都是 要錢購買的。
但有一種行業，大家都看不到它的物質與勞動，就是攝影。
當大家看到一張相片，便認為這只是一張有樣貌的相紙。
其實，攝影師的那相片，就是飯菜，就是文具，就是服裝，就是 生存的手段。

飯店靠飯菜為生。
文具店靠文具為生。
服裝店靠服裝為生。
同樣，攝影師就是靠攝影為生。
